Are you interested in buying some new tactical footwear? If so, you will need to make sure that you get a good fit, especially if you are going to be ordering them online. A boot or other type of footwear that you are going to wear for activities like Airsoft must fit well in order for you to get the most out of them. On top of that, no one wants to have to worry about dealing with boots or other footwear that is too large or too small when out in the field. Here are some tips on how to order the best fitting tactical footwear and boots:

Don’t Just Order the Size You Always Wear

When ordering boots, many people will make the mistake of ordering the same size that they wear in other shoes, like their sneakers. This may work for some people, but not for others. You definitely won’t want to have to deal with ordering them and then having to return them. The only way that you can be sure that you are ordering the right size boots is to actually measure your feet…both feet.

Measuring Your Feet Correctly

One of the best ways to measure your feet is to get a piece of plain paper and a pencil. Stand on a hard surface floor on the piece of paper and trace the outline of your foot. You should be wearing socks that are similar to the socks you intend to wear with the boots and if you have difficulties, you can also choose to have someone else do the tracing. You will want to do this with both feet as it is not uncommon for one foot to be a bit larger than the other. You will then want to take a ruler and measure the length of both tracings from the top of the toe to the back of the heel.

Once you get this measurement, you will take the larger of the two and compare it to a boot sizing chart. There are charts all over the internet that you can use. Make sure, however, that it is a chart for boots and not shoes. They may be different. Once you do this, you should be able to know your perfect size and will be able to buy your shoes with confidence.
